“Empire Navigation Inc.” (hereinafter “the Company” or “We”) has its registered offices at 88 Vouliagmenis Av. 167 77, Ellinikon, Attica, Greece and provides management services, including but not limited to ships’ management, employment of crew on ships managed by the Company, technical ship management, crew training and safety, shipping and crewing finance and administration.

The Company’s  official Website is presented as seen by the user and makes no express or implied representations and/or warranties regarding our professional business/management services in crew and ship management.

The Company uses all information collected via its Website, in strict confidence at all times pursuant to the Company Data Protection Policy and the applicable legislation (including the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 of European Parliament and Council of the European Union (hereinafter “GDPR”), including any job applications and/or visitor traffic trends.

It is the Company’s policy to completely respect and protect the privacy rights of web visitors/users, including all crew members, shore-based employees, prospective crew members or employees, partners, agents, suppliers, job applicants and any other visitor to this website.

We try to collect and store minimum and basic personal data on our website and to have in place appropriate safeguards for the security and privacy of your data as a visitor of our website and to prevent it from being accessed by unauthorized persons.

If information relating to your health is collected while you operate our website as above, we will use it only in order to comply with our health and safety and occupational health obligations, as well as to comply with our statutory obligations and applicable maritime legislation for pre-employment medical examinations with regard to your potential recruitment and employment and fitness to work as a seaman or shore-based employee.

All above data and any other data constituting  Special Category of Personal Data, including references to your ethnic origin /nationality, religion, health status, trade union membership, will be lawfully collected and processed by the Company as above and, unless this is not authorized or required by law or public interest or such information is required to protect your vital interests, we will obtain your explicit consent.

Regarding data processed beyond this Website, we will retain personal data and all related records of our Employees’  for no longer period than required for the Company’s legitimate purposes, or for complying with laws and regulations, or for reasons of public interest, for as long it is necessary in order to protect the Company’s legitimate interests. And where information on applications from prospective employees is concerned, we will retain these for a period of maximum 12 months. After this time, the information will be duly encrypted and archived securely.
